A 51-year-old bicyclist was killed in a crash that occurred on August 3, 2011, around 9:40 p.m. along Rubidoux Boulevard south of 26th Street in Jarupa Valley. According to the Riverside County sheriff's officials, the bicyclist was riding a bicycle on Rubidoux Boulevard when he was struck by an oncoming truck.

According to Sgt. James Woodland, the biker was pronounced dead at the accident scene. The accident is under investigation. From the available information, it is not clear as to what made the truck collide head on with the bicyclist.
