Many bicycle accidents happen in the summertime when bikes are pulled out and enjoyed in the sunshine. Especially downtown or on streets with heavy traffic, it is imperative to have sufficient covering and safety gear. The law only requires rider under the age of 18 to wear a helmet, but it is encouraged for anyone on the road to wear helmets while riding, as falls can often lead us head first off our bikes and injure our brains which can in turn affect just about any part of our bodies, physically and mentally. Do not become a statistic.
